Yet Another Blow To The Little Man

By raising the prices, this company looks like the type that will kick a man when he is down, and furthermore made themselves look incredibly selfish. On the other hand, people still need their credit cards, as mentioned before, so if this company lowered its APR, does it not seem that more people will sign up to receive a card, thereby making the company more money by getting more customers?
I do remember that much of what put us in this mess was bad loans and such, but again, this could help. Lower the prices and allow people to have a chance at either establishing or re-establishing credit, and look deeper into who you allow to get their hands on this credit.
It just seems redundant to cite the economy, and raise prices. And to get back to a previous point, the one about kicking a man while he's down, would it not be nicer to be remembered as the company willing to help out in harsh times?
I admit, if I had a company, especially a credit company, I'm sure it would fail. However that may just be because I'm just not into being a jerk. Sure I love money, but not so much that I want to see someone else fail in order for me to have some.
I know that nothing's going to change. Prices for just about everything are going to continue to climb and there's nothing that can be done about it. But here's at least one person more than willing to speak for the little man.
