Do you really think rehabilitation is going to help?
When interviewed by several media outlets Obama has stated that this process will take time because he needs to figure out what he is going to do with these dangerous inmates.
I may or may not be going out on a limb here but I am pretty sure that I can speak for most Americans in saying that I really don't want to be living next door or even a town away from one of these estimated 205 terrorist inmates that may be coming here once Guantanamo closes.
I think our new president needs to Google "prison guards beating inmates in U.S."
If he believes it does not happen here he will surely be surprised. If he ever does take me up on my request, he will come back with thousands of cases of prison guards accused, and he'll even find those that have been charged with wrongfully treating an inmate.
As recent as last month, two prison guards from Riker's Island were charged for looking the other way when a huge fight broke out among prisoners, one inmate was killed. Many other inmates at Riker's have now come forward stating that they have witnessed wrongdoing by the prison guards. An investigation has since followed.
I want to like you Mr. President, I really do, so please stick to helping our economy, keep Guantanamo Bay open, and keep those prisoners there. I don't want them as my new neighbors now or ever.
