(SEPT. 15) - Experiencing some anxiety? Having trouble focusing on your academics? Do you already feel like you need to take a break and the semester just began?
Well, you are not the only one! The beginning of the fall semester can be quite stressful. One, because either you have just come off of an enjoyable and relaxing summer vacation; or two, you have spent your entire summer break taking classes and working with little time for yourself. Either way, jumping right into the fall semester can leave you feeling fatigued, disoriented, and sluggish. Worrying about the cost of tuition, books, and other financial needs is the most stressful part of entering a new semester. In addition, keeping up with class assignments, participating in extra curricular activities and maintaining all of this is something many of us find quite challenging and overwhelming.
The best things to do when feeling overwhelmed is, one, do not worry too much about the situation. Two, take care of what the most important issue is and go back to the least later and three do not procrastinate. Being organized and focused helps with accomplishing all of your agendas as well so do not wait until the last minute to study for an exam or write that term paper.
Taking time for "you" is very necessary. Try doing something that interests you best, like, going out to the hottest club, taking a mini road-trip, or spoiling yourself with some shopping. Do whatever makes you feel at ease. Putting yourself first sometimes is not a bad thing. This can lower your stress level and you will not feel as fatigued or disoriented.

I hear that! I'm working on not procrastinating because that's my biggest flaw. If I had the money right now I would def go splurge on some new clothes. (Continued…)
