(OCT. 4) - A 24-year-old man was gunned down in Harlem after winning $6 from another while shooting dice.
Cadell Robinson, 24, was shot in the head and chest outside his home on 200 W. 131street, around 9:30 a.m in the court yard of St. Nicholas Housing complex, authorities said.
Among the neighbors who heard the shots, was the victim's mother Bobbie Robinson. "I counted eight bullets. I just said to myself, that person wasn't going to make it. Little did I know that was my son," she said to the AP.
Terrell Rice, 20, who also lives in the St. Nicholas housing complex, was later charged with Robinson's murder, criminal possession of a weapon and a burglary for breaking into an apartment to hide from police, officials said.
Police rushed to the scene joined by emergency service officers and dogs when the suspected gunman fled into an apartment building. Five hours later he was captured and arrested.
