MARCH 27 - The Hudson View Café has now made a dramatic change for students and staff who order from the grill. Now when you place an order you can't ask for things such as having your cheese melted on food such as burgers or condiments on your chicken sandwiches.
This is due to the fact that many staff and faculty complain that the lines are taking too long during their lunch breaks. In addition, many student have become really disturbed about these new rules that were enforces by Dobbs Ferry Café management.
Mercy students are very upset about theses changes and some have gone far as not eating from the grill anymore. Does this cause a concern for the business at the café? Along with the changes of the menu, which now does not, included mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, wraps and quesadillas are forcing students, staff and faculty to a limited menu on the grill. Students have also complained that putting the own additions on sandwiches is not going to make things changes in the café due to the fact that there are going to be lines for putting condiments on your hot dogs and hamburgers.
Freshmen Darcell Taylor stated "I think that a dumb thing to do were paying for this food we should be able to get it anyway we want it. This is going to cause a lot of stirrup for the rest of the semester because even though they say we can't ask for our sandwiches to be dressed up students will continues to ask because we feel like its our right. If were paying for the food, we want it prepared the way we like it."
In addition, maybe if the lines are too long, Mercy can work on getting more people to work the grill during the rush so that things can run quicker during the day that would not hurt at all then everyone happy at the end of the day.
