5. Visit the Bronx Zoo
The flagship of the largest network of metropolitan zoos in the country, the Bronx Zoo offers exhibits featuring over 4,000 animals. Open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Bronx Zoo typically costs $14 for general admission-but on Wednesdays, admission is by donation only, meaning you can pay any amount (from a penny to a hundred dollars and beyond). 4. See the "She's Like a Rainbow: Colors in Fashion" exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology
This exhibition explores the symbolism and psychology
of color in fashion, and attempts to explain the social associations we make with certain colors: why is the color red the color of passion, why is black today's most fashionable color, and more.
When: Nov. 11 through May 5, 2007; Tuesday through Friday, Noon to 8p.m., Saturday 10a.m. to
5p.m.
Where: Seventh Avenue at 27th Street
3. See a free performance of Composers and Choreographers at Juilliard
Six third-year choreographers and six composers collaborate to create six new dances with new music performed life, with additional performances of the best student work of the fall semester.
When: Friday, Dec. 8 at 8p.m.

2. See the 80th Anniversary of the Macy's Thanksgiving
Day Parade
In what has become as much a part of Thanksgiving as football and a turkey dinner, Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day Parade offers huge balloons, floats, musical performances and celebrity appearances.
When: Thursday, Nov. 23 beginning at 9a.m. (arrive early!)
