Mercy has posted an overall record of 5-33 and is 3-20 in conference play. They started off the season with a less than great start, going 0-11, but won five in a row to get them back in the race. However, those five wins unfortunately started the beginning of the end for the Flyers, who proceeded to lose their next 22 games.
Mercy is currently settled in last place in the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC). New Haven and Dowling College are the only two schools to have officially advanced to the playoffs so far. New Haven has a 19-2 record in conference (NYCAC) play and are 28-8 overall. Dowling is 16-6 in NYCAC play and are 24-12 overall.
Mercy has four games left on the schedule as of press time. Their last game was May 11 when they bumped heads with the University of Bridgeport.
Mercy tried to spoil the playoff chances of Bridgeport who are battling for the coveted final spot of the playoff bracket. Bridgeport is 10-12 in NYCAC play and are 13-8 overall. They are behind Concordia, who is .500 in conference play with an 11-11 record, .500 overall as well with a 22-22 record. Can Mercy play spoiler in the final days of the season and end their season with a bang?
